SASMAP

SASMAP is a European partnership project in which the Cultural Heritage Agency’s Maritime Programme participates. In recent years, studies have been carried out together with European partners into the protection of underwater archaeological heritage. The present publication is the second of a set of two volumes illustrating best practice in the fields of underwater archaeology, in situ preservation, site monitoring and excavation (i.e. ex situ preservation).

The first volume in the series includes guidelines for underwater archaeological research and site protection.
