UNESCO foundation course in the Caribbean
This report presents the development and results of the second UNESCO course on Underwater Cultural Heritage Management in the Caribbean, organized in 2014 on the island of Sint Eustatius.
The Caribbean waters are littered with the wrecks of historical vessels. To preserve and manage these objects, international cooperation and knowledge exchange in the field of maritime heritage are essential. Instruments to achieve this include the organization of and participation in the UNESCO foundation course.
