NAR 69: The Wooden Artefacts from the Early Roman Fort Velsen 1
This publication presents the results of the analysis of nearly 1600 wooden artefacts from the Roman fort Velsen 1. Artefacts such as weapons, furniture, tent pegs, locks, keys, and shoes were found during the excavations at Velsen 1, situated on the coast of Noord-Holland about 20 km from Amsterdam, and took place between 1972 and 1994. The artefacts are thoroughly described and interpreted which make them more accessible to the public.
