The Solar Tent
This brochure is a manual for the so-called solar tent, a tool to disinfect museum objects by means of solar heat.
Disinfecting objects
Prior to disinfection, the object needs to be covered with a transparent plastic or glass that will filter the heat. Not every museum object lends itself to being disinfected in this manner. This brochure discusses the conditions in great detail and offers tips on how to use the solar tent responsibly.
