Shared Heritage Joint Future

This report presents an overview of international projects carried out by the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands in the context of its Shared Cultural Heritage programme.

Shared heritage with Dutch roots

This publication lists a wide range of projects implemented in close collaboration with local partners in the period 2009 – 2013. The projects involved three categories of heritage with Dutch roots: maritime heritage, historical architecture and urban planning, and museum collections. In its policies, the Dutch government aims for sustainable preservation of this heritage. The projects discussed in this publication are based in countries that have a shared history with the Netherlands, such as Australia, Brazil, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Russia, Sri Lanka, Suriname, the United States and South Africa.
